Simple, neat.

But in the first round of the first game I played, a target eventually spawned on top of the cannon in a way that I couldn't shoot it. :(

Personally I like it when that happens so that you have to shoot upwards and side with gravity but your opinion is of value to me.

Pros 'n' Cons.

Love the graphic and animation style and the music, it's very fitting of mimicking an 8-bit game (which I believe was the goal).

The gameplay came off as tedious to me. I don't think the wall-jump mechanic works very well on keyboards, for starters, so that's not exactly your fault. But I also found the character far too fast and floaty when it came down to levels that require more precision jumping.

Absolutely loved it.

Gameplay is great, animation is great, audio (voice acting; this is a big one, not many flash have voice acting as good as this!) is superb, comedy is fantastic.

My one and only complaint is that I beat it in just two sittings. :(

Physics are fun.

I enjoy toying with simple physics like this. It's a great distraction. He could use some walls to slam against/bounce off of though (since he just flies off the screen otherwise and it's kind of game over from there).

Cute, but kind of easy.

I liked the general gameplay (although the arrows were tilted in the opposite direction of what I'm used to) and the graphics were simple and charming. I think it was a little too easy, or a little too short. This could maybe be fixed with something as simple as a time-based scoring system to get players striving for faster times.

Pros 'n' Cons.

I really like the graphics and the music and even the gameplay. But (broken record incoming) the controls are freaking terrible. I understand you wanting it to be playable on all machines and keyboards, but if that's really what you're after, just add in customizable controls instead.
